What happens
when we try?
Selected encounters between people, materials and disciplines.
What can you
build with air?
A different shape. A different perspective. Even a small change can set something in motion.
How an idea becomes an objectGive the form some room.
A playful experiment with shape and movement.Thinking with
our hands.
Knowledge grows when we share it. And when we actually put ideas to the test.
Share knowledge
Pass experience on. Through exchange, teaching and working together.
Research
Understand materials. Question connections. Discover possibilities.
Build prototypes
From the first model to a space you can enter: making is also a way of knowing.
One idea.
Across borders.
Experimonde is a platform for experimentation and collaboration. People from different disciplines bring their knowledge together and develop something new.
It starts with
material knowledge.
Architect P. Michael Schultes grew up around inflatable plastics. Since 1980, he has explored membranes in architecture, bringing that experience into projects and teaching at Vienna’s universities.
Starting with material

A platform takes shape
Experimonde is founded in France.
Connected in Austria
Michael Schultes, Isabella Farkasch and Carolin Lotz establish the Austrian association.
